Van Ministry

We have a 15 passenger van that is used to provide transportation to and from our services for anyone who needs it. James Sullivan serves as captain of our van ministry. We have several volunteers that drive.

Audio Ministry

Robert Lee serves as the director of our sound and video ministry. We have several volunteer technicians that assist him. We have the capability to make audio recordings of our services and post them on our web site as well as our facebook page.

Senior Adult Ministry

Our pastor’s wife, Judy Brown, works with our senior adults (55+). She plans and coordinates field trips and fellowships for them throughout the year. The highlight of the year is their annual trip to Dr. Johnny Hunt’s Senior Adult Fall Jubilee in Gatlinburg, TN.

Youth Ministry

Volunteers work with our youth (7th grade and up). Besides having classes for them every Sunday morning (10:00) and every Wednesday evening (7:00), they’ve taken them to summer camp at Jonathan Creek and on summer mission trips to places like Omaha, NE, Columbus, GA, Joplin, MO, and Muskogee, OK. Plus they regularly take them on local and regional outings to judgment houses, concerts, ice skating, and movies. Our youth also assist with local ministry projects such as roofing houses and cleaning yards.

Children’s Ministry

Volunteers work with our children (1st-6th grades). Besides having classes for them every Sunday morning (10:00) and every Wednesday (7:00), they’ve taken them to summer camp at Jonathan Creek. They’ve even taken the older ones (5th-6th grades) on some of our summer mission trips and they have regular local outings for them. They help deliver fruit baskets to our widows and widowers every year at Thanksgiving. They also assist with a variety of local ministry projects.

In addition to ministering to the people in our church and community, we contribute financially to other ministries in Mayfield such as Needline (food pantry), Hope Center (Crisis Pregnancy Center), and the Lighthouse (women’s shelter).

We are active participants of the Graves County Baptist Association, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. We not only give a percentage of our income to each one of those entities, we cooperate with the other participating churches to spread the gospel message throughout the world. And we give regular financial support to missionaries, Tony and Beverly Steele, who are serving in Mexico.
